SKYVAX SETS UP AT AAC TO HOUSE PILOT TRAINING ACADEMY
Local company SKYVAX secures 100,000sqft at AAC to supply trained professional airlines pilots
Langkawi, 17 March 2015 – SKYVAX Sdn Bhd (SKYVAX), a local company providing aviation related services focusing in the area of pilot training that will house its pilot training academy in the Asia Aerospace City (AAC).
Through its subsidiary, Skyvax Simulators Sdn Bhd (SkyvaxSim), SKYVAX is poised to invest in a multi-million pilot training facilities. The training centre is estimated worth of RM 300 million inclusive of 8 Full Flight Simulators, building infrastructure and other pilot training facilities.
The company has committed to a 100,000sqft purpose-built centre at the aerospace hub in Subang, Malaysia. The agreement was exchanged between SKYVAX, Czech Aviation Training Centre (CATC) and M-AeroTech Sdn Bhd (M-AeroTech) on 9th February 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic.
This Local company is set up in 2014, has ventured into a pilot training programme with a European-based training provider and aims to expand as a simulator provider. The company also intends to diversify its product offerings into other areas of the business such as aircraft sale & purchase and human capital training for crews.
The company aspires to become the first ‘full-fledged’ independent Authorized Training Organisation (ATO) in the region.
The training centre will house the state-of-the-art facilities such as Level D Full Flight Simulators, Flight Training Devices, Computer Based Training facilities and others.
Nashrie Akil, Group Chief Executive Officer, SKYVAX said that the company has been growing well, and wish to establish itself as a key player in the services they provide.
